You might have read my previous post about data-synchronization. A few hours after I published it a friend contacted me and asked if I can write a few lines on my favourite applications.
Basically you can take your notes in whichever way you want (ownCloud / NextCloud synchronizes all the files). But since I am using Grav I have a new favourite way to write texts: Markdown.
Due to the fact that some of my machines run Windows and some run different Unix-systems I was looking for a compatible application. After testing applications like Laverna, BoostNote and PileMd I found a very interesting one: SeaPig.
So why do I use SeaPig as my primary note-app, even it lacks some functionality (tagging, notebooks, etc.)?
Ok...to be honest: A mix of BoostNote and SeaPig would be the "Eierlegende Wollmilchsau".
If you can live without mermaid and the other frameworks there is a really good alternative: QOwnNotes. This product can be connected to the ownCloud (in cooperation with it's plugin!).
